1. In which of these cities would you be most likely to find an alligator living in the wild?

Answer: Miami, U.S.A.

The alligator, one of the planet's largest reptiles, lives only in the U.S.A. and in China. They can be as long as 19 ft. (5.82m) and weigh as much as a ton. Miami, like many cities in South Florida, has thousands of alligators in its city limits, living in almost every body of water in the city.

While alligators are usually not a threat to human life they will hunt almost any small animal they can catch, including the occasional pet.
2. In which continent would you be most likely to see a hippopotamus in the wild?

Answer: Africa

The hippopotamus is found in the waters of sub-Saharan Africa. They spend most of the day in the water, but leave the water in the evening to graze on the grass. They are the third largest land-animal weighing up to nine tons. The herbivorous hippo is one of the most dangerous animals in Africa and are known to be very aggressive when they feel threatened.
