Answer: Madrid

Madrid has been the capital of Spain since 1562. It is 650 metres above sea level and is 300km from the sea. According to FIFA, its football team Real Madrid was the most successful team of the 20th century.
2. In Prokofiev's "Peter and the Wolf", the character of Peter was represented by instruments from which section of the orchestra?

Answer: Strings

Sergei Prokofiev wrote "Peter and the Wolf" in 1936. It is a children's story telling the tale of how a young boy called Peter outsmarts a wolf that comes out of the forest. The parts of the different characters are performed by different instruments from the orchestra, and the music is accompanied by text spoken by a narrator. Prokofiev wrote both the music and the text.
3. What do sufferers of ailurophobia fear?

Answer: Cats

Other names for this phobia include felinophobia, elurophobia and cat phobia. Statesmen Benito Mussolini, Napoleon Bonaparte and Julius Caesar were all famous people from history who were reputedly afflicted with this fear.

The George Cross was instituted on September 24, 1940 by King George and replaced the Empire Gallantry Medal. The medal was designed by Percy Metcalf. It was awarded on a collective basis to the island of Malta and the Royal Ulster Constabulary.

Henry Wadsworth Longfellow was born on February 27, 1807 in Portland, Maine.
Longfellow is best remembered for his poems "Paul Revere's Ride" and "The Song of Hiawatha". He died of peritonitis on March 24, 1882 at the age of 75.
9. With what did Sparrow kill Cock Robin?

The Silver Ghost name was not officially recognised by Rolls Royce until 1925 when the Phantom range was introduced.
