Originally created by the Westinghouse Electric Corporation, KDKA began broadcasting on November 2, 1920. It broadcasts on clear channel 1020 AM with an all news and talk format.
2. In the 1972 AFC divisional playoff game, this Pittsburgh Steelers fullback made a catch that has been forever immortalized as "The Immaculate Reception". Who was he?

Answer: Franco Harris

The game took place on December 23, 1972 between the Steelers and the Oakland Raiders, who were intense rivals. The play gave the Steelers their first ever playoff victory.

Answer: Bruno Sammartino

In the 1970s, the Pirates went to the post-season six times, winning the World Series twice (in 1971 and 1979). Willie Stargell was instrumental in their success. He was elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1988.

The Pipers had the distinction of winning the first ABA championship in 1968. After their first season back in Pittsburgh (1970-71), a contest was held to name the team and the winner was "Pioneers". A small local college, however, already had that named and threatened to sue, so the owners chose the name "Condors".
