Jason Schwartzman stars as Max Fischer in "Rushmore" as a tenth grader attending Rushmore prep school. He falls in love with the first grade teacher named Miss Cross. (played by Olivia Williams) He is also befriended by a local tycoon named Herman Blume (Bill Murray) who also falls for Williams.

When Max finds out that his mentor also loves the teacher he seeks revenge. Blume retaliates and the two wage an all out war on each other.
