Answer: Hen Wlad Fy Nhadau

Well there were little hints in the false answers. "Battri'n fflat" is "flat battery". "Troli" is Welsh for "trolley". "Ddisgo" is Welsh for "disco" There was no hint in the actual answer.
2. When was Cardiff made capital of Wales?

Answer: 1955

Cardiff was declared the capital of Wales in 1955; it was ranked as a city in 1905. It is the home of Cardiff City Football Club, Cardiff Rugby Union Football Club and Wales play their home Rugby Union Football games in the city as well. However between the middle of the nineteenth century and up until World War II, the people of Wales considered Merthyr the capital as it was the biggest populated urban area in Wales.
3. Lyn "The leap" Davies won the Gold Medal at which sport in the 1964 Olympics in Tokyo?

Answer: The long jump

Lyn "The leap" won the gold medal for the long jump at The Tokyo Olympics. He also competed in the 100 meters and the 4 x 100 relay, but he did not compete in the shot put.

Snowdon is Wales' highest mountain; the others are also Welsh mountains. Pen Y Fan is in South Wales, in the Brecon Beacons. Carnedd Gwenllian can be found in the same range as Snowdon, Snowdonia, and Pwll Yr Lwrch is the mountain on the opposite side of the valley to me, here in Maesteg South Wales.

Answer: Maesteg

The Welsh National Anthem was first publicly performed in Tabor Chapel Maesteg, which is now a Working Men's Club.

James James wrote the music and his father the lyrics, they both lived in Pontypridd. It was first performed by Elizabeth John in 1856, either at the end of January or the beginning of February.

The reason it was performed in Maesteg and not Pontypridd was that James James had married a coal manager's daughter, who managed a Maesteg coal mine. Tabor Chapel is where his wife and father in law went. Maesteg is my home town.

Bara (ba-ra) is the Welsh word for bread. A boat is Llong (llll-ong). To get the double LL sound you press the tip of your tongue against the back of your top teeth and pronounce the letter L for four seconds followed by ong. Glaw (gl-oo) is the Welsh word for rain, Cig (Key-g) is the Welsh word for pig.

It was of course Julius Caesar. Lurcio was Frankie Howard's character in "Up Pompeii". However it was Emperor Claudius who eventually conquered the Britons, after which the Emperor Hadrian built his now famous wall to keep out the Pictish Scots. Just can't trust us Celts.
8. Where is Wales' national library?

Answer: Aberystwyth

Aberystwyth is the home of the national library of Wales; it is on the western coast, in an area known as Caerdigion in the county of Dyfed. The library was established in 1907; it is also currently the archive of Welsh TV film and sound.
9. Welsh actor Anthony Hopkins played which American president in a film?

Answer: Richard Nixon

Anthony Hopkins played Richard Nixon in the film "Nixon". He is of course one of Wales' great actors. He was born in the same village as Richard Burton, then went to live in Port Talbot. Other actors from that area include, from Neath, Ray Milland and from Port Talbot, Michael Sheen. Both Ray Milland and Anthony Hopkins have won best actor Oscars.
10. Where in Cardiff is the home of the Welsh assembly?

Answer: Cardiff Bay

The Welsh assembly is based at Cardiff Bay; the other three answers, Roath, Bute and Grangetown are all urban areas of Cardiff. In fact Roath is one of posh areas of Cardiff, Bute and Grangetown are both close to the city centre.
