The Sierra Madre in Mexico are divided into three ranges, Sierra Madre Occidental in the west, the Sierra Madre Oriental in the east and the Sierra Madre del Sur in the south. They surround Mexico's central plateau.

Mount Orizaba is 18,697 feet above sea level. It is an extinct volcano in southern Mexico. It is also known as Mount Citlaltepetl.
