This valley is formed by the mountains of the Himalayas. It is located in the state of Sikkim which is landlocked. The colors of the flowers make such a beautiful canopy in this valley that just looking at them is therapeutic. The rhododendron is a common flower here and another attraction here is the Shingba Rhododendron Sanctuary.

The local people use this as a grazing field for their cattle. A tributary of the Teesta River goes through the valley. It is interesting to know that snowfall is common in areas around the valley.

'Noh' in Khasi means jump. So the name of the waterfall reads 'Jump of Ka Likai' in Khasi. Khasi is an Indian language which is commonly spoken in the Indian state called Meghalaya. It is in this state that this waterfall is located. It is one of the largest falls in India.

The story of Ka Likai is that her second husband did not like the attention she gave to her child from another marriage. So he killed the child and fed the child to her. After finding this horrific truth out, she commits suicide by jumping from these falls. Creepy story, right? Nonetheless, the sight of these falls is spectacular!

A student of Atisha's named Dromtön founded this monastery leading people to believe its almost a thousand years old.

The monastery is built in accordance with a style called Pasada. There are murals and paintings inside this monastery that show exquisite artistry. Some old weapons that were used against enemies are also inside the monastery.

Getting up close to the falls would require a long trek and so this serene place is enjoyed by adventure enthusiasts.
