Answer: Tamworth

Each year in January, Tamworth holds Golden Guitar awards for country music in Australia. Gympie also holds a Country Music Muster annually, but Gympie is in Queensland. Both Broken Hill and Dubbo are in New South Wales.

Answer: Wee Waa

The DNA testing of an entire town made headlines at the time - a friend even said they read about it in England!

Finn McCool is supposed to have built the Giant's Causeway in order to walk to Scotland. Sawn Rocks, outside the town of Narrabri, is a long walk from Scotland.

One of the biggest zoos I've ever seen. It is fantastic - wide open spaces for the animal enclosures, and you can drive around the zoo if you wish.

Sadly, this place has long since closed. *SIGH*

As you come into town, there is a population sign with a "?" on it - this is one place where the census takers just know that the results are never going to be accurate!

Answer: Moree

There are lots of little artesian spring-fed bore baths located in this area, however Moree seems to get most of the tourists.
8. The Narrabri area is famous for its production of cotton. What is the name of the centre built in the town of Narrabri to promote the cotton industry?

Answer: Australian Cotton Centre

This place is interesting - there is even a theatre that is built into a cotton picker! Lots of hands-on exhibits too.
9. There is a highway out here near Narrabri named after the local Aboriginal people. What is the name of the highway?

Answer: Kamilaroi Highway

The Kamilaroi people are the people indigenous to the area around Moree and Narrabri. Thank you for letting us share your land.
