1. Tiber River

The Tiber flows southward past Perugia and Rome and into the Tyrrhenian Sea at Ostia, Italy. According to Roman legend it was the river into which the founders of Rome, Romulus and Remus, were thrown. The river is featured prominently in many movies filmed in Rome.
