Answer: Criminal Court Building

The Criminal Courts Building is on Centre Street. It is connected to the correction facility across the street by the 'Bridge of Sighs'. This building houses the Manhattan Detention Center for Men in what is known as 'The Tombs' - a nickname from an earlier time when the facility was housed elsewhere.

Answer: Brooklyn Bridge

The Brooklyn Bridge took 16 years to build; it was finally completed in 1883. The engineer who conceived the idea of this bridge, John A Roebling, was one of at least 20 people who lost their lives during its construction.

The Empire State Building and its observation decks have attracted over 110 million visitors to date. There have been two different masts on the Empire State Building. Originally, the 150 foot mast on top of the building was intended to moor zeppelins. Now, the current mast which measures 204 feet, transmits television and radio to the city and surrounding states.

The top thirty floors have coloured floodlights which vary in colour to signify seasonal and special events.
