Iasi (or Jassy) was the first capital of united Romania, before 1861 called Danubian Principalities. (Moldavia and Wallachia). It was also capital during World War I.

Answer: Veliko Turnovo

Veliko Turnovo was capital during the second Bulgarian empire.
3. This city was capital of Moldova (Moldavian ASSR) 1924-29.
