Answer: Minnesota

An exact copy of a normal sized hockey stick but supersized can be viewed in the town of Eveleth, Minnesota. It is 110 feet long, weighs 5 tons and sits behind its counterpart, a 700 pound puck. This stick is a dedication to the ever popular sport of ice hockey.

Answer: North Carolina

The University of North Carolina was founded in 1789 but due to lack of funding it did not have students till 1795. It grew rapidly after that and now has 15,000 undergraduates, more than 2,400 faculty and 16 campuses.

Answer: Virginia

Eight United States presidents were born in the Commonwealth of Virginia. They include George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, James Madison, James Monroe, Willian Henry Harrison, John Tyler, Zachary Taylor, and Woodrow Wilson. Virginia is truly "the Mother of Presidents".
4. Which U.S. state is home to the largest retail headquarters?

Answer: Arkansas

Sam Walton opened his five and dime store in Bentonville, Arkansas, in 1962. The multibillion dollar Wal-Mart enterprise still has its headquarters there.
5. Which U.S. state has the oldest continuously operating airport?

Answer: Maryland

College Park Airport in Maryland was opened in 1909 by the Wright Brothers in order to train Army officers the skill of flying airplanes. It is still in operation today.
6. Which U.S. state has the largest fiberglass hoofed mammal?

Answer: North Dakota

Her name is Salem Sue. She lives in New Salem, North Dakota. Made entirely of fiberglass, Sue stands 38 feet tall and weighs in at an amazing 12,000 pounds. She represents the proud local dairy industry of the area.

Louisiana is home to about 2 million gators. Alligator ranching is big business in the state. The gator farmers raise some alligators for profit and the rest are released back into the wild.

One-half million gallons of maple syrup were produced in the state of Vermont in the year 2004. It takes about 40 gallons of sap to produce one gallon of syrup.
9. Which U.S. state hosts the world's largest twins gathering?

Answer: Ohio

Twins, twins and more twins gather in Twinsburg, Ohio, every year to celebrate the annual Twins Day Festival. The event started in the year 1976. It has been attended by more than 3,000 sets of twins yearly.
10. Which U.S. state has the oldest theme park?

Answer: Connecticut

In 1846 a picnic park opened at Lake Compounce in Bristol, Connecticut. Today it is the oldest theme park in the United States. The park has a very unique wooden roller coaster, the Boulder Dash, that is actually built into the side of a mountain.
