Answer: Sodermanland and Uppland

Uppland is to the north and Sodermanland to the south. The border goes just south of Gamla Stan (Old town).

Answer: Uppsala

Uppsala has grown a lot the last 50 years and has since then more than doubled its population to about 130,000. Thereby is Uppsala the fourth biggest city. Note that the population is counted based on the city, not the 'kommun'.
