Vanderbilt was started in Nashville in 1873 with a grant from mogul Cornelius Vanderbilt. Since then, it has matured into one of the top 20 American universities, especially in education, medicine, and theology.

When the show started back in 1925, it was originally called the "WSM Barn Dance". However in 1927, the radio show was preceded by the Grand Opera from Italy. The announcer introduced the show by saying, "You just heard the Grand Old Opera, now it's time for the Grand Ole Opry!" The name stuck ever since.

Answer: Ryman Auditorium

The Ryman was built back in 1892 to house a church. However, it became a showcase for country music and other acts. After the Opry moved out in 1974, it fell into disrepair, but eventually historical interest built it back up to its current state of hosting a variety of acts in the Nashville area.

Answer: Railroad
