Surprisingly, Maine has the longest saltwater shoreline out of the four choices, at 3,478 miles. Maine's coast is riddled with inlets, peninsulas and islands, making its shoreline much longer than it appears at first glance. California's shoreline is 3,427 miles, North Carolina's is 3,375 miles, and Texas's is 3,359 miles.

Answer: Alaska and Hawaii

Alaska is actually home to the northernmost, westernmost, and easternmost points in the United States. The far western part of Alaska crosses the International Date Line, and becomes east rather than west.

Answer: Yakutat City, Alaska

Yakutat City, Alaska has a whopping land area of 7,650.5 square miles, due to its being a consolidated city-borough (city-county).

Jacksonville has a land area of 757.7 square miles (also a city-county). Anaconda has a land area of 737 square miles (also a city-county). Oklahoma City has a land area of 607 square miles (and is the largest non-city-county in land area).
