For along time Nairobi was referred to as "the green city in the sun".

The embassy has since relocated to the outskirts of Nairobi. Kenya was a victim of another terrorist attack in 2002 which was targeting Israelis in a tourist hotel in Mombassa.

This time the casualties were fewer, nevertheless more innocent lives lost.
