Answer: Rod Serling

Rod Serling, creator of "The Twilight Zone", was born in Syracuse, NY, in 1925. He died June 28, 1975. Jack Benny, comedian and actor was born in 1894 and died in 1974. Francine Larrimore was an actress, (John Meade's Woman) born in 1897...though she did die in March of 1975. Richard Conte was an actor and director who also died in 1975 (Don Barzini in the Godfather Trilogy).

Answer: Viking

NASA's Viking Mission to Mars was composed of two spacecraft, Viking 1 and Viking 2. The objectives were to images of the Martian surface, analyze the composition of the atmosphere and surface, and search for signs of life. Viking 1 was launched on August 20, 1975 and arrived at Mars on June 19, 1976. Viking 2 was launched September 9, 1975 and entered Mars orbit on August 7, 1976.

Robert James Fischer was born in Chicago, Illinois on March 9th, 1943. He became an 8-time U.S. Chess champion. In 1972 he defeated Boris Spassky for the world championship, but could not agree to terms for a defense against opponent Anatoly Karpov.

It was George Papadopoulos who led the military coup in 1967, taking advantage of the unsteady political situation resulting from a conflict between King Constantine II and the prime minister, Georgios Papandreou.

He was overthrown in 1973 by members of his own staff. Papadopoulos was tried for treason. He died at age 80 of cancer.
6. Three assassination attempts are made on President Ford in California.

Answer: False

There were only two assassination attempts on Ford's life. Both were committed by women, one of whom was a follower of cult leader Charles Manson (Lynette "Squeaky" Fromme). The other woman was Sara Jane Moore.

Answer: Ethiopia

In Africa, Selassie was regarded as the greatest of modern-day monarchs and a true hero. He is sometimes referred to as "The Lion". He also led troops in combat himself, against the Italian army.

The Steelers defeat the Vikings 16-6 in Super Bowl IX at New Orleans.

Answer: Faisali bin Musad

Faisal bin Abdul Aziz was shot and killed by his nephew, Faisali bin Musad, on March 25. The nephew is caught and beheaded. The new king is Khalid, Faisal's brother.
