It was developed by Henry Ford and was considered expensive by 1908 standards. Henry Ford soon reduced the price and the Model T then began to 'sell like hot cakes'.

Einstein, 1879-1955, was one of the greatest physicists of all time.

After a singularly vicious war, Britain won control of the Boer republics of the Orange Free State and the Transvaal in South Africa. Despite remaining ill feeling among many Boers, Britain granted South Africa Dominion status in 1910.

In fact the flight was made nearby, in Kill Devil Hills. However, the place of the flight has gone down in history as Kitty Hawk because that was the closest place they could find to send a letter back to Ohio about their success.

Over 2,500 people died as a result of the earthquake and the fires.
10. Where were the 1908 Olympics held?

Answer: London

The games were held in a new, purpose stadium called White City. It underwent various changes in use before being pulled down in 1985.
