Answer: Ghana

Col. Acheampong, who was himself a coup maker in 1972, was deposed in a bloodless coup by Jerry Rawlings 1978. Rawlings was elected president 1992.

Answer: Sierra Leone

President Kabbah's civilian government was ousted in a bloody coup 1997 led by Major Koroma. His junta was driven out by a Nigerian-led peacekeeping froce 1998.
