Japan, Italy and Germany were the key Axis powers, whose purpose was boundless expansion. Fascism as an ideology is associated particularly closely with Mussolini, Hitler and their autocratic regimes. Other Axis powers included Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, Croatia and Slovakia ... and Romania in 1944.
Brazil fought from 1943-45 alongside the Allies.

Answer: War of 1812

The War of 1812 was declared by James Madison against the British Empire.
The British were stopping and seizing American ships and arming the American Indians to fight Americans. As a result, the nations trade was disrupted and the U.S. Capitol was burned. This was the first time after the Revolutionary War that America had to fight to protect its independence. The other wars were fought on foreign grounds.
3. Which country has never been a part of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS)?

Answer: Poland

The CIS consists of the former republics of the Soviet Union. Poland, though part of the Soviet Bloc from 1945-1989, was never part of the USSR.

The CIS Republics were divided into regions known as Russia, Central Asian Republics and European Republics Members. Poland, led by Labor Movement Leader Lech Walesa, began the transition to a market economy in 1989 and became a member of NATO in 1999 and a member of the EU in 2004.
