Molasses, or treacle, is generally made as a by-product in the refinement and extraction of sugar from sugar cane. Boston baked beans were first made in the early 18th century with the addition of molasses, as a byproduct of rum manufacturing, of which Boston was a major exporter. They are very popular in the city of Brussels, Belgium, from where the plant is thought to originate in the presently cultivated form.

While any of the fillings listed as options would be delicious, traditional Chicken Kiev is made with fillings of garlic butter and herbs. For the choice of herbs, parsley, green onion, tarragon and dill weed are all popular. Once filled, the breaded chicken breast can be either baked or fried, but given the buttery center already, baking is the healthier option. They are high in soluble fiber, which is fantastic for preventing cholesterol from forming and clogging up the cardiovascular system. They are also high in magnesium and iron.

The word "wiener," a common generalized name for a hot dog in the west, roughly translates into "from the city of Vienna" in German. Vienna, known as "Wien" in the native tongue, is the capital of Austria. The European style wiener, or Vienna sausage, is a long and slender sausage resembling a typical American hot dog. To differentiate in the United States and Canada, a Vienna sausage typically refers to a short variety, packed in tomato or chili sauce, sold pre-cooked and packaged in tin cans.
