Willy Loman is one of the legendary characters in Broadway drama; "Salesman" is often considered to be Miller's masterpiece. Long before Dustin Hoffman did the role on Broadway, Cobb had turned in a highly-acclaimed performance in the role.
2. This actor continued his starring role in the movie in Hart and Kaufman's Broadway hit, "The Man Who Came to Dinner".

Answer: Monty Woolley

Barrymore was considered for the role in the movie. It's hard to believe that anyone could have done a better job than Woolley. Durante appeared in the movie.
