1. Who took control of the Opera House after Carriere was fired?

Answer: Carlotta and her husband

Carlotta and her husband Alain Cholet got Gerard Carriere fired, and became the new managers.
2. Count Phillipe recommends that Christine get voice lessons.

Answer: true

Phillipe finds her singing on the streets of Paris, and recognizes something special about her voice. He gives her a card with Carriere's name on it, and tells her to go to the Opera House to talk to him about lessons.
3. Who does Carlotta send down to the dark depths of the Opera House to take inventory of what's down there?

Answer: Joseph Buquet

Carlotta sends Buquet down there, and he encounters the Phantom and his lair. Buquet is killed and is later sent back up dead to scare the managers and people of the Opera House.

The Phantom asks only one thing in return for lessons, that he remain anonymous.

The play goes back and forth at this part between Christine's lesson and Carlotta and her husband talking in the dressing room.

He got shot twice by the soldiers (who frequently missed him), and was shot the last time by Carriere (whom we find out is his father). Erik is pretty much suffering so he asks Carriere to shoot him. I almost cried at this part of the play!

Towards the end of the play, Carriere recalls Erik's childhood as he explains the Phantom's background to Christine.

Answer: true

The Phantom encounters Carlotta in the middle of the play wearing a red mask, and tells her to make a choice. She can leave or die. Carlotta, being her stubborn self, refuses to leave and doesn't take him seriously.

Answer: he dies

He is shot. First by soldiers then by Carriere.
