Mufasa removes his mask off during the 'They Live in You' scene, a very symbolic act which enables him to have a heart-to-heart talk with Simba not as a king, but as a father.

'One by One' features bright African costumes, colorful bird kites being flown by actors stationed in the audience, and lively dancing. It is an Entr'acte piece, which means it begins as the audience is returning to their seats from the intermission.

Zazu does not sing 'I've got a lovely bunch of coconuts', as he does in the film, presumably because Disney was not able to secure the rights to the song. Instead, Scar goes on to lament about his emptiness as king.

Timon drags a fish out of the water. He tosses to Pumbaa, who catches it in his mouth - to the audience's delight.

At the final note of Simba's soliloquy 'Endless Night', Simba freezes, and Rafiki heads to her tree to reveal that Simba is indeed alive, and then cuts quickly to another scene of Nala chasing Pumbaa. There is no applause after 'Endless Night', which is unfortunate since it's one of the strongest vocal performances offered in the entire show.

The giraffe enters from stage left, meandering cautiously across the stage, as the cheetah enters from stage right. It spots the giraffe and slowly turns around to stalk it. It is interesting to note that this scene, along with the shadow puppets and the added scene of Zazu apologizing to Mufasa, were added because of the enormous length of time (over three minutes) needed to set up the technically complex wildebeest stampede.

Answer: Sarabi?

Sarafina's only line, "Sarabi?" comes when cub Nala asks her mom if she can go with Simba to the 'waterhole'. Sarafina defers to Simba's mom to make the decision; she,o of course, says it's all right as long as Zazu goes with them.
