"Little Shop of Horrors" was based on the 1960 black and white movie with the same name. The original movie starred Jack Nicholson and was intended to be a horror movie, but wasn't that scary. However, the musical is much better than its movie.
2. Who was the original Seymour for the Off-Broadway cast?

Answer: Lee Wilkof

Lee Wilkof is also known for other movies such as "School of Rock" where he played Mr. Green and a made for TV movie called "Disco Beaver from Outer Space" back in 1978. However, Hunter Foster was the one who won the Tony for the role in 2004.
