1. The Milkmaid
Answer: Vermeer
Johannes (Jan) Vermeer's "The Milkmaid" was painted circa 1657-58 and is one of his well known genre paintings depicting everyday life. It is also known as "The Kitchen Maid". "The Love Letter" and "Woman Reading a Letter" are both on permanent exhibition in the Rijksmuseum.
2. The Night Watch

Arguably, the most famous painting the the Rijksmuseum, "Militia Company of District II Under the Command of Captain Frans Banninck Cocq" or it's alternative title of "The Shooting Company of Frans Banning Cocq and Willem van Ruytenburch" is more commonly known as "The Night Watch".
It was completed in 1642 by Rembrandt van Rijn and is a large painting by any standards, measuring 363 cm × 437 cm (11.91 ft. × 14.34 ft.)
3. The Crucifixion

Jacob Cornelisz van Oostsanen usually painted religious scenes such as "The Adoration of the Christ Child", "The Temptation of Christ" and "The Adoration of the Magi".
"The Crucifixion" was painted between 1507-1510 and rather than just concentrating on the Crucifixion of Christ like other artists, he made the oil painting into a landscape with many people in both the foreground and background.
4. Worship of the Golden Calf

The "Worship of the Golden Calf" is a triptych painting by Lucas van Leyden completed around 1530. Tintoretto and van Steen among other artists have depicted this scene from Exodus 32:1-6 of the Israelites worshiping the golden idol made by Aaron during the time Moses was receiving the Ten Commandments on Mount Sinai.
5. The Merry Family

Jan Havickszoon Steen (1626-1679) concentrated his paintings on everyday life. Many are permanently exhibited at the Rijksmuseum such as "The Feast of St Nicholas", "Woman at her Toilet", "The Dancing Lesson" and "The Baker Arent Oostwaard and his Wife, Catharina Keizerswaard". "The Merry Family" (also known as "The Happy Family") was painted in 1668 and features a jovial collection of young and old people in their living room eating, drinking, singing and playing musical instruments.

"Mary Magdalene" (also known as "Maria Magdalena") is an oil painting by Jan van Scorel completed around 1530.He was more known for his portraits but also painted some religious scenes such as "The Baptism of Christ", "Madonna and Child" and "Adoration of the Magi".

The oil painting "Still Life with Cheese" was painted by the Haarlem artist Floris van Dijck around 1615. A typical Dutch breakfast of grapes, apples, pears, olives, nuts, bread and three types of cheese are prominent on the table setting. He painted other versions of this type of still life with other fruit such as melons, strawberries and cherries.
8. Girl in a White Kimono

George Hendrik Breitner was a 19th Century Dutch Impressionist painter and also photographer. Amongst his many painting were 13 featuring a Dutch girl in white kimono and another one where she was in a red kimono. In 2016, the Rijksmuseum featured an exhibition of all 13 versions as well as the "Girl in a Red Kimono" from a private collection.
9. Battle of Waterloo

Jan Willem Pieneman completed this historical masterpiece in 1824. With the dimensions of 567cm (18.6 ft.) x 823cm (27.0 ft.), it is the largest painting in the Rijksmuseum. The painting features the Duke of Wellington astride his horse Copenhagen giving orders to his men; in the foreground is the wounded future King William II of Orange. Wellington liked the paining so much he offered to buy it to hang in Apsley House, the home of the Duke of Wellingtons.
10. Morning Ride Along the Beach

Anton Mauve was famous for his paintings depicting animals (especially sheep) and people outdoors. "Morning Ride Along the Beach", painted in 1876, shows a group of well-dressed riders traversing the sand dunes down to the beach where changing cabins are present. In the foreground, Mauve's realism can be visibly seen with prominent horse droppings.
