Antoinette Perry was born June 27, 1888 in Denver Colorodo. She was a producer, performer and director in theatre. She died June 28, 1946 in New York City. The Tony Awards started the year after her death in 1947.
2. Tony Azito was in four shows, but only nominated for a Tony for one of them. Which show was it?

Answer: Pirates of Penzance

Tony Azito was nominated for the Tony in 1981 for Best Featured Actor in a Musical for his portrayal of The Sergeant of Police in "Pirates of Penzance." The winner for that category that year however was Hinton Battle for "Sophisticated Ladies".
3. In 1961 Tony Duquette won a Tony Award. What did he win it for?

Answer: Best Costume Design

The show he won it for was "Camelot" which also won four other awards that year, as well as being nominated for another.
