Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Who is the narrator?

Answer: Officer Lockstock

He began the show and added many comments throughout. Although Little Sally does add a lot to what he says, she is not the official narrator.
2. Who played Little Sally in the original cast?

Answer: Spencer Kayden

She was hysterical! In my opinion the best part of the show was Little Sally's commentary. Nancy Opel was Penny Pennywise when I saw it, and Jennifer Laura Thompson was Hope. Sutton Foster is from "Thoroughly Modern Millie".
3. According to Cladwell, what shouldn't you be?

Answer: the bunny

"Don't Be the Bunny" is probably one of the funniest songs in the musical!
4. What was the name of the public urinal that the people were forced to use?

Answer: Amenity #9

It was known as "the poorest, filthiest urinal in town".
5. What was the original name of the company that Mr. Cladwell runs?

Answer: Urine Good Company

Or UGC, for short. At the end, Hope changes its name to "Bobby Strong Memorial Toilet Authority".
6. What can kill a show, according to Little Sally?

Answer: a bad title

This and bad subject matter. She also thinks that the story should revolve around hydraulics. However, Officer Lockstock says that it's better to focus on one little thing instead of a big problem.
7. For what crime do you get sent to Urinetown for?

Answer: urinating illegally

Throughout the show we see Old Man Strong and his son, Bobby, get sent there, although Bobby was sent there because he was the leader of the riots.
8. At one point in Act One, Little Sally asks Officer Lockstock what Urinetown is like. He doesn't mean to say anything, but ends up blurting out what?

Answer: "There is no Urinetown, we just kill people!"

We learn this for ourselves when Bobby Strong is sent there.
9. We find out at the end of the play that Penny Pennywise is the mother of one of the main characters. Which one?

Answer: Hope

Penny had an affair with Cladwell about twenty years ago during "the stink years".
10. True or false: "Urinetown" is a happy musical.

Answer: False

Officer Lockstock lets us know this, when Little Sally protests the depressing ending.
