Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. What creature did Gaea create which was so frightening all the gods fled except Zeus?

Answer: Typhoeus

Poor Zeus he too succumbed under Typhoeus. Zeus was imprisoned and spanked -or tortured on occasion by this creature with 100 serpents heads breathing fire. Luckily, Hermes rescued the proud god, and they finally threw Etna on top of the beast.
2. Who was the Greek goddess of crossroads and trivia?

Answer: Hecate

Hecate had to flee from Hera for stealing a pot of rouge for Europa, one of Zeus' lovers. She hid in a house that was contaminated, so she had to go to the underworld and wash the stains off in the River Acheron in order to be cleansed. She then became the goddess of the underworld.

But she is also associated with cross-roads and often seen lurking at the scene of a crime. So the moral of the story - don't pass your cheap blush to your enemies.
