In section 1 - "Fezzik". As he closes in on the madman who has taken Buttercup's baby, Fezzik tells the kidnapper that he "would like the child". During the battle, it is made known that the kidnapper has no mouth, yet he threatens to breathe fire and change shape. It is acknowledged that the madman is capable of such defences.

In section 4 - "Fezzik Falling". Fezzik is so in tune with Buttercup's baby that she figures who better to babysit than the gentle giant. Fezzik watches the baby and they play. When the baby naps, Fezzik blocks the sun; and that is how she comes to call him Shade.

In section 2 - "Inigo". Before he begins his search for the six-fingered man, Inigo prepares for the duel ahead. Inigo's plan, once he feels ready, is to test his sword skills in front of Yeste; knowing his father's dear friend will be honest if there are flaws in his skills with the blade. Inigo knows that "flaws will bring death but, far worse, humiliation".

In section 2 - "Inigo". While training in Italy, Ingio meets a servant girl named Giulietta. Inigo recognizes the girl because her image has graced his dreams for many years. Inigo shares his heart with Giulietta, and he soon finds out that she is not a servant, but a Countess.

In section 3 - "Buttercup and Westley". While en route in their escape from Humperdinck and his brutes, Buttercup's horse throws a shoe, Inigo's wound reopens and the recently dead Westley relapses; leaving Fezzik in charge. As if the pressure of leading four people to safety is not enough, Fezzik faces a fork in the road and has no clue which way to go.

In section 3 - "Buttercup and Westley". Humperdinck catches up to Buttercup and her three friends. Seeing them, surrounded by the lovely trees of Florin, he revels in the bliss that his hunt is coming to an end, and death is close. He then comments to himself that in such a glorious moment, surrounded by such beauty, it would have been nice to have the Royal Sketcher there.

In section 3 - "Buttercup and Westley". When closing in on his hunt, Humperdinck, seeing the frail condition of Westley and considering the enduring strength of Ingio, decides to take his first shot at Fezzik. Humperdinck prepares his bow and arrow, and shoots for the heart of the giant.

The arrow is blocked by the Holocaust cloak that is tucked away in Fezzik's clothes. Remember Fezzik acquired the cloak when he collected ingredients for Miracle Max's miracle pill.

In section 3 - "Buttercup and Westley". Westley and Inigo need time to heal, but they cannot linger long anywhere because Humperdinck is sure to attack. Westley knows of a place they can go called One Tree Island. The island's entrance is surrounded by a whirlpool, making it impossible for anyone to survive the trip. Westley figures since Fezzik can climb the Cliffs of Insanity, he can also swim them through the whirlpool. The only flaw in this plan is that Fezzik is afraid of getting water up his nose.

In section 3 - "Buttercup and Westley". Buttercup, with her pregnancy glow, has never been more beautiful. When the time arrives for the baby to be born, there are complications with the birth. Inigo suggest that they at least try to save the baby, but Westley will not risk Buttercup's life.

When panic sets in, a squeamish Fezzik, who has spent this time hiding behind a tree, rushes to Buttercup's side and delivers the baby.

In section 3 - "Buttercup and Westley". Although Buttercup is sure her firstborn will be a boy; her daughter Waverly arrives pink and white like a candy stick.
