They take place in different locations around the world. All the books center around the five members of Alpha Force and their fight against injustice around the globe.

Alpha Force are in the Sahara Desert in "Desert Pursuit", Australia in "Red Centre" and in Belize in "Fault Line". They never operate in London. London is the main location for a book in the Chris Ryan series "Code Red" named "Flash Flood".

"Blood Money" is set in India because the team is there originally to build a school, but so often with Alpha Force, they get mixed up in something else.
"Untouchable" takes place in the Scottish highlands, "Rat-Catcher" is set in South America and "Hunted" is set in Zambia.

Alpha Force- Alex, Li, Paulo, Hex and Amber. Now you know who I'm on about!
Hex came up with the name at the end of "Survival" when the group decided to become a team. It is made up of the first letters of their names and it is the first letter of the Greek alphabet, meaning "a new beginning".

Answer: The Phoenix

The Phoenix- meaning "rising from the ashes" and "a new beginning" as Amber states at the beginning of "Survival". It was commissioned in memory of Amber's parents, who died before the beginning of the series in a plane crash.
It is revealed that Alex couldn't wait to join up, having first heard about it, while Amber and Hex hate being on board. Hex had been sent there by his teachers and Amber by her uncle.

Answer: Northumberland

Alex is from Northumberland. His father is in the SAS and Alex is determined to follow in his father's footsteps. His father taught him how to survive in multiple situations, making Alex the survival expert and the group's leader. Alex barely mentions his family besides his mother and father, so we that he is an only child.

Paulo comes from a big family, which seems to be mainly made up of little sisters from Argentina. His family owns a large ranch, where he grew up. He has wild curly hair, is a bit vain, quite a flirt and lazy but he can get motivated by pretty much anything, especially Li.

Answer: Zoologists

Li's parents are zoologists and took Li around the world with them when she was younger. At one place she visited, she tried free climbing and martial arts, discovering that she was a natural and making her the team's animal, climbing and martial arts expert. She is an Anglo-Chinese girl and is believed to be an only child, as we never hear about any siblings.

Answer: Melvin

It is revealed to Alpha Force that Hex's real name is Melvin. Hex says in "Red Centre" that "Hex is his real name and that Melvin is what some idiot put on his birth certificate". Hex comes from London and he mentions a younger brother in "Survival". Hex is the team's hacking expert and is able to hack into any website and get any information he pleases.
