It also has a strange habit of moving to the entrance of the door when it has been moved to the back, and it often makes the door creak open ominously. This bow-legged cat lives in Steve's rather ill-kept house.

The opening of this hole is too small for Cujo and he gets stuck at the shoulders. This makes him an easy target for scared, rabid bats. The hole opens out into a cave, and the rabbit gets trapped and starves to death.

Cujo's panicked barks frighten the bats and they try to escape, but the St Bernard is blocking the only exit. When Cujo bites one of the bat's wings, it bites him on his tender nose before the dog can escape.

The dye in this cereal stained the stomach lining of people who ate it. When some children vomited after eating the cereal, their red vomit was mistaken for blood by their parents. This caused an outcry against the Sharp company, and subsequently Ad Worx.

Gary, the Camber's neighbour, is a bitter, drunken war veteran, but he is still friendly to Cujo. That changes when Cujo bites his shoulder and then tears his throat out. Very grisly.

Officer Bannerman was the policeman who was assisted by John Smith in apprehending the Castle Rock Strangler in "The Dead Zone". In "Cujo" he is now the sheriff, but that doesn't save him from a rabid St Bernard.

Joe visits Gary after Cujo has already stopped by (big mistake) and is horrified to find a very dead neighbour. When he goes into the kitchen to call for help, Cujo emerges from the cellar, and Joe immediately wets himself. Then is killed. Bet he regrets getting that dog now.

The convulsions are caused by extreme stress and dehydration. At one point, Donna has to reach inside Tad's mouth and pull his tongue forward to prevent him from suffocating on it. He gives her a nasty bite in return.

When Bannerman first hears Cujo's menacing growls he briefly thinks it is his red setter, Rusty. The he remembers that he had Rusty put down years ago. Too late, though, and Cujo mauls him to death (quite messily, I might add).

Vic hears the weather forecast on the radio whilst he is driving to the airport. He doesn't pay any attention (he is too busy worrying where his wife and child might be), but this spelt very bad news for Tad and Donna. That day was the hottest on record.

We find this information from a newsaper article after the tragedy is over. This reign begins when Cujo kills Gary and ends when Donna kills Cujo.

Gary Pervier, Joe Camber and Sheriff Bannerman are all mauled to death by Cujo. Tad Trenton died of dehydration after being trapped in the car for three days. Cujo also succeeded in giving Donna rabies, but she survived.

Frank Dodd commits suicide at the beginning of the novel. He was a cop who had committed many crimes and had finally been found out.
