Vector and Serra were made up names. Nefandus was the realm that the Atrox ruled over. The Atrox tricked Pandora into opening her box, and then tried to steal hope. The goddess of the moon, Selene, stopped the Atrox using her daughters to guard Pandora and hope. Since then, the two have been enemies.

Catty's father was first introduced in book eleven. He used Kyle, a runaway slave, to trick Catty into coming to see him. He was also a major enemy in the final volume of the series, "The Final Eclipse". He used Serena as a bargaining chip, hoping to get Stanton to exchange his life for hers. When his plan backfired, he vowed to escape Nefandus and marry Vanessa's mother.

Answer: Stanton

Tymmie, Karyl, and Maury were former apprentices to Stanton. Stanton was in charge of their squat until he became the Prince of the Night. Stanton fell in love with Serena, even though their relationship was forbidden. His desperate love for Serena caused him to risk his own life for her several times in the series.

When he thought that Serena was going to leave him alone in Nefandus, he broke down. He and Serena ended up ruling Nefandus, with Stanton as the new Atrox.

Answer: Lambert

Piron, Aaron, and Siren were made up names. Lambert was a follower who had been charged with bringing the Atrox's future bride to it. He fell in love with her. The Atrox discovered the deception and burned away her body, leaving her as a spirit. Lambert vowed revenge, and attempted to get it in volume five, "The Sacrifice".

He left Stanton alone to be taken by the Atrox as a child. He also went by the name of Darius.

The Atrox offered Aura's father an impressive dowry. Knowing her father was poor, Aura accepted it. She fell in love with the follower that was sent to get her. The Atrox discovered the deception and burned her body away when she stepped into the cold fire. Using a potion created by Circe, she took control of young girls' bodies.

When the body got old, she would move onto the next. Aura tried to take Serena's body once, but Stanton and the girls thwarted her. Her real name was Ursula.

Answer: Zahi

Zahi tried to turn Serena into the witch Goddess. Since all his thoughts were in Arabic and French, she couldn't find his intentions when inside his mind. Stanton told her that Zahi stole all the memories of the two of them together, but she didn't believe him. Using a Latin phrase and the cold fire, Serena brought Zahi back from the Atrox. Morgan vowed to get him back, but never did.

He was Stanton's greatest enemy.

Answer: Cassandra

Kelly, Yvonne, Morgan, and Cassandra were all initiates. Cassandra was granted the power to go back in time by the Atrox. She used Morgan to lure Jimena's boyfriend, Veto, to his death. When the Atrox reanimated Veto, Cassandra tried to get Jimena to surrender her power to her in exchange for his life. Cassandra's plan failed, and she the Atrox made her an outcast.

She came back working under Lambert, but vanished after he was defeated the first time.

Answer: Toby

Chris was the keeper of the scroll, Hector was the moon demon, and Finis was a Regulator that Stanton used to protect Vanessa. Toby hid his hideous features in order to get Vanessa to fall in love with him. He tried to use Vanessa as a pawn to get Catty to turn over the Scroll. He was defeated and never got his hands on the scroll.

In ancient Greece, Hector wanted to marry Maggie. Since she had promised herself to Selene, Maggie was unable to be with him until she was freed. The only way to free her was to defeat the Atrox. Maggie's sister tricked him into going after the Atrox.

When it seemed like the Atrox was defeated, it gave him a pair of gold anklets. They turned out to be shackles, and he was cast from the Earth. In modern day LA, he seduced Vanessa in hopes of getting her to free him. In the end, he was freed from enslavement and reduced to ash. Vanessa gave the ashes to Maggie.

Answer: Justin and Mason

Justin and Mason were two tattooed followers. Tianna was running from them in "The Lost One", but she had no memory of why. She later learned that they were following her on orders of the Atrox. They are the same men who broke into her house when she was younger and killed her parents and sister, Jamie. In "The Becoming", they go to Tianna to warn her.

Answer: Nymphs

The three girls were Lizelle, Zonda, and Arielle. They set Jimena up so that she would be arrested for drug dealing that she didn't do. With the help of Chris, Jimena escaped the girls and went on the run. The girls are nymphs formed when blood dripped from Medusa's decapitated head and spilled to the desert. They communicated in an unknown language.

Answer: Gerard De Moltaire

Gerard De Moltaire posed as Professor Hendrix of UCLA. He worked alongside Kendra, and it was obvious she had feelings for him. He was the one who sent the nymphs after Jimena in "The Choice". Payasa gave her life to stop him from killing Jimena. Alexander De Leon, Brandon De Quaid, and Logan De Trian are made up names.

Answer: Mary

Shannon was another foster child living with Mary during the series. Mary turns out to be a failed attempt of the Atrox to create human life. She was keeping an eye on Tianna for the Atrox; secretly preparing Tianna for the becoming. It was discovered that the pills she was making Tianna take were drugging her somehow. Todd, another foster child in her care, tried the pills and it made him very ill. Tianna escaped with Shannon, who was taken in by Catty's mother, Kendra.

Answer: Regulators

Initiates were those hoping to become followers, followers were immortals accepted by the Atrox, and Venetors were bounty hunters of renegade followers and slaves. Stanton and Serena needed to keep their relationship a secret because Regulators would have killed them if the Atrox ever found out. Some notable Regulators were the malevolent Toby, and benevolent Finis and Malcolm.

Answer: Ethan

Ethan is the name that the Atrox used in its human form. It wanted Tianna to be the 'becoming' and bear its child. To do so, it posed as "Ethan" and spread rumors to break up her and Derrek. He always wore a fedora and a wolf pin. The howling of wolves would signal his arrival.
