Rick Andover carjacks the twins in the Dairi Burger parking lot and drives around like a maniac, then heads off to Kelly's with them. Todd sees Liz's terrified face through the window and chases them down in his car, before knocking Rick out. Jess comes over for a last-ditch attempt to win Todd, but Liz finally pulls it together and gets in there first, giving him a proper kiss.

They work things out and he realises it wasn't her at Kelly's with Rick, and she realises he never tried to assault Jessica - but of course forgives her sister everything!

Elizabeth is the 'Eyes & Ears' gossip columnist for 'The Oracle'. However, to get her own back on Jessica for lying about Todd and letting people believe the worst of Liz, Elizabeth allows the Sweet Valley High kids to think her twin sister Jessica is Elizabeth so they will dunk her in the pool instead. This evens the score after Jess let the policeman think she was Elizabeth!

The Patmans are the 'old money' family and have been in Sweet Valley for generations. They want to preserve the football field. Snobby Bruce Patman is a senior at Sweet Valley High and a well-known ladies man and competitive star of the tennis team. He lives at the Patman mansion with his parents and many paid staff. He drives a Porsche.

The Fowlers are the 'new money' family having made their millions in Silicone Valley microchips. They want to re-develop the football field. The family is headed by George Fowler who spends precious little time at home with his daughter, Lila, his only child. Snobby Lila Fowler is one of Jessica's best friends, although they are often fighting like true enemies!
