Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Once the creature is animated, what does he immediately begin doing?

Answer: looking for Victor

Seeking his parent is a natural reaction for a newborn - even if the newborn is a giant zombie-like creature.
Of course, he was unable to speak at the time of his "birth", only some "inarticulate sounds". Victor then suffers a big "postpartum" depression.
2. What type of food is the creature fond of?

Answer: berries

The creature does not consume alcohol, meat or milk; he is a vegetarian in general. "My food is not that of man; I do not destroy the lamb and the kid to glut my appetite; acorns and berries afford me sufficient nourishment."
3. What does the creature show he is capable of learning?

Answer: reading and writing

He reads three great books, and even writes some notes to Victor, while being chased.
4. From which handicap is De Lacey's father suffering?

Answer: blindness

Fortunately, he can't see the ugliness of the creature and can treat him respectfully. The rest of the family are horrified.
5. Why does Victor destroy the half-made female creature?

Answer: he fears her ability to reproduce

He fears that the race of ugly creatures may one day outnumber the humans if they were to breed.
6. What does creature do when Victor says he wants to get rid of his sight?

Answer: closes his eyes with his hands

Smart reaction, I must admit. The creature understands more than is at first apparent.
7. Where does the creature laugh at Victor and say he is glad that Victor has decided to live?

Answer: graveyard

Victor decides to continue his living in order to gain revenge.
"Before you begin on the journey of revenge, dig two graves - one for yourself" ~Confucius
8. How many persons does the creature directly murder?

Answer: three

He directly kills one man (Henry), one woman (Elizabeth) and one child (William). He is also indirectly responsible for the deaths of Justine, Victor's father and Victor himself.
9. How does the story end?

Answer: Victor dies and the creature moans over his death

Yes, the "son" lived longer than his "father".
Victor dies from severe pneumonia.
I find it remarkable that creature never really attempts to kill Victor or use any physical force against him. He could easily did it, because he is physically superior. But all his power is just eloquence and intimidation. This is why many believe that the creature is imaginary. Personally I think he, in a way, respects Victor - but this respect certainly is not mutual.
10. As what does the creature identify himself?

Answer: an abortion

"I, the miserable and the abandoned, am an abortion, to be spurned at, and kicked, and trampled on." While the other three are also different from a normal person, they are permitted to live a full life from birth to death. The creature is simply unwanted and rejected by his parent, and hasn't even got a name.
