Win claimed that that was the most frightened he had ever been, and vowed never to be afraid again. Since that moment, he became cold and unfriendly. He claims he goes around killing people he deems unfit for society to protect the innocent people of the world.

It should be noted that Win did walk in on his mother having an affair, something we find out in "Fade Away", but this event had no effect on Win's personality other than causing him to resent his mother.

She is known for frequently attending tough clubs and bars, and can intimidate most men who give her trouble. She is, however, apprehensive around Win even though two are good friends.

Big Cyndi became friends with Esperanza after the former was being attacked by wrestling fans and Esperanza rescued her. Big Cyndi is physically large, even bigger than most men. When she sits at her desk, the desk actually comes off the ground and rests on her legs.

However, Big Cyndi is described as being a friendly person with a generous heart who cares deeply about Myron and Esperanza.

Myron occasionally calls on his mother and her friend for legal advice when he or someone he knows gets in trouble, which is at least once a novel. Myron's father owned a lingerie factory, which he sold upon retirement. Myron was shocked when they sold their house and moved to Florida in "Darkest Fear".

Answer: Myron slept with Greg's fiance the day before their wedding

Myron and Greg had been rivals since high school when they played on the same team. Myron was jealous that Greg was marrying Emily, Myron's first love. Myron claims his sleeping with Emily the night before her wedding to Greg was a mistake. It is discovered that Greg was not killed at the end of "Fade Away", but rather disappeared on his own.

Kathy had been murdered years before the novel began by Christian Steele, a quarterback looking to make the pros with Myron as his agent. Christian had buried Kathy in the woods, but when Jessica's father started investigating the death of his youngest daughter, Christian started faking evidence that Kathy was alive so Myron would investigate. Christian was afraid that Mr. Culver, who had recently been murdered, had discovered Kathy's body and used Myron to make sure the body was still hidden. Myron, after initially falling for Christian's rouse, solved the mystery.

While Myron hoped to find Kathy alive, it was not all bad for him. The mystery brought him and Jessica back together, and the two resumed dating until "One False Move" where they had a nasty breakup. It is revealed in "One False Move" that Myron and Jessica broke up because she cheated on him.

Answer: On a tropical island

Myron had a vicious breakup with Jessica over her constant travelling for her work as a writer. He almost slept with Brenda Slaughter, a potential client he was helping to find her father who mysteriously disappeared. After Brenda is murdered, Myron has a psychological breakdown and disappears to have a lust-filled vacation with Terese. Although he tells no one where he is going, Win is able to find him using his powerful connections.

Myron, always the lovebird, wanted a commitment but Terese preferred their physical relationship. The two dated on and off until "Live Wire", when they became engaged.

Answer: Mickey

In "Live Wire", a Myron Bolitar novel published in 2011, Myron looks for his long-lost brother Brad when his sister-in-law Kitty turns up unexpectedly. It turns out that Mickey witnessed his father's death, and has had to deal with the emotional scars it caused.

In the first novel of the Mickey series, "Shelter", Mickey moves in with Myron. Myron plays a lesser role in Mickey's books but nonetheless, still makes appearances and is important to some storylines.

Answer: Ache

Herman and Frank Ache are mob-connected brothers who a trying to bring as much of New York City under their control as possible. One of their endeavors is running a rival sports agency to Myron's, and they violently attempt to steal his clients away. Usually, the Ache brothers are only indirectly related to the main mystery of each novel, or are part of a subplot.

They constantly have Myron threatened and beaten up until Myron is rescued by Win, who would desperately love to kill the Aches.

Jeremy's anonymous bone marrow donor has mysteriously vanished, and Emily calls Myron as she believes only he can find the donor. Myron does find the donor, who turns out to be a serial killer named Edwin Gibbs. Gibbs is not killed during a shoot out with the police after he kidnapped Jeremy.

Although Gibbs tells the police where Jeremy is in exchange for a more lenient sentence, Gibbs kills himself before donating the marrow. Realizing Gibbs' son, Stan, could also be a match to Jeremy, Myron forces Stan to donate his marrow and Myron promises not to turn Stan in to the FBI on charges of plagiarism and killing his girlfriend, among other things.

However, Myron breaks his promise once the marrow is given. Stan Gibbs' marrow is not a match to Jeremy, and Myron and Emily agree to artificially conceive another child in the hopes that that child will be a match for Jeremy.
