4. Shakespeare famously said, 'All the world's a stage and all the men and women merely players.' But Will was way ahead of his time with this quote; why?

Answer: women were not allowed on the stage

During Shakespearean England, women were not allowed to perform on stage, and their parts would have been played by young men, who had not yet reached full maturity. This must have caused a great deal of confusion in some of Shakespeare's plays, where the lead lady dresses up as a boy to disguise herself, and would in fact be a boy, playing a girl, dressed as a boy!
