Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Phin Tucker is a sexy, young mayor with the unenviable job of keeping a town full of crazies from tearing each other apart on a daily basis. Which Crusie book does Phin Tucker play the hero to Sophie Dempsey's heroine?

Answer: Welcome To Temptation

Sophie and her sister, Amy, come to Temptation to make a video of B-movie actress, Clea's, life.
2. How do Sophie and Amy know Clea?

Answer: Their brother dated Clea

Clea is a blonde, high and mighty actress who made one movie in Hollywood and then came back to her home town of Temptation when her career failed to take off.
3. Why were Phin and Dillie's mother, Diana, no longer married?

Answer: She died shortly after Dillie was born

Sophie mistakenly suspected that Phin's mother caused that accident that killed Diana.
4. Cal Morrissey and his two best friends, Roger and Tony, get entangled in the lives of Minerva Dobbs and her two best friends, Liza and Bonnie. What's the name of the book in which Min and Cal reluctantly find love?

Answer: Bet Me

Min's ex-boyfriend, David, bets Cal, a business associate, that Cal cannot get Min to sleep with him. All hell breaks loose when Min overhears the part about the bet but not the part where Cal refuses to be a part of it. "Bet Me" is my favorite Crusie book. Cal and Min are a wonderful couple. I was so hoping that Jennifer Crusie would write a follow-up, but, unfortunately, she does not write series.
5. What is the name of the woman that Tony ends up marrying?

Answer: Diana

Diana was engaged to marry Greg throughout most of the book, but she wised up at the end and, after two more failed engagements realized Tony was the one for her.
6. Cal had some competition for Min's affections in the form of a baseball player named Harry. Why was Harry really no threat to Cal and Min's budding romance?

Answer: Harry was Cal's 10 year old nephew

Harry was Cal's brother's son. Cal coached his baseball team. Harry developed a crush on Min when she came to watch one of his games.
7. Which Jennifer Crusie book features Bill, the psychotic ex-boyfriend of art teacher, Quinn?

Answer: Crazy for You

Bill could not accept that Quinn had left him and proceeded to stalk her, break in to her apartment, and try to kill her dog on more than one occasion, in a twisted effort to win back her affections.
8. Quinn and Nick dated in high school.

Answer: False

Quinn and Nick had been best friends for 20 years, but it was actually Quinn's sister, Zoe, who dated and eventually married Nick right after high school. The marriage was very brief.
9. Why did Nick decide to move in with Quinn, even though he was afraid of making a commitment to her?

Answer: He wanted to protect her from Bill

Nick had already decided that he was in love with Quinn by this point but was afraid of taking the final step in to a committed relationship with her. When Bill hurt Quinn, Nick put his commitment phobias aside because he wanted to protect her.
10. Jennifer Crusie writes romantic comedy with a touch of dark mystery added in. "Faking It", the story of fun romance, stolen money, and forged art, is a follow-up to an earlier Crusie novel. In which book do we first meet "Faking It" hero, Davy Dempsey?

Answer: Welcome to Temptation

Davy Dempsey is Sophie and Amy Dempsey's brother. His ex-girlfriend, Clea, has recently stolen a large sum of money from him, and in "Faking It", Davy attempts to get the money back.
