After Son Tidwell's child died, Son packed up the rest of the Red-Tops and left the area forever.

Inside the Happy Meal was a stuffed dog toy, and Mike realized that this was the same toy he had seen in his dream. Kyra asked Mike to name the dog, and he named in Strickland after a character in one of Johanna's favorite books. Kyra loved the name, but she always called the dog "Stricken".

There were many other ghostly occurrences at Sara Laughs, but the bathroom was never flooded with water. However, after Mike's dream about Johanna, Mattie, and Sara, he found that the bathtub had been filled with water.

There were definitely some scary moments in this book!
