Peter doesn't have a defined age, so whenever he meets someone he waits until they've told him their age, and then tells them he's a year older. But the real reason Peter is the leader is because he can spit the farthest.

The first person on board the Never Land to hear the bells is Alf, and he thinks that someone has spread rat poison on the trunk and it's making him go mad.
