J R R Tolkien wrote one of the most famous collection of novels, 'The Lord of the Rings', which is composed of 'The Fellowship of the Ring', 'The Two Towers' and 'The Return of the King'. 'The Hobbit', written earlier, provided our first introduction to Middle Earth. Frodo Baggins was a hobbit, charged with destroying the Ring of Power in 'The Lord of the Rings'; Gandalf was a wizard who provided invaluable assistance in the task; Legolas was an elf who was one of his companions on the quest.
