Rhiannon is taken to Sorrowgate Tower after she is pulled from Blackthorn's back, by the soldiers ordered by Captain Dillion of the Joyous Sword. He knew Connor as a boy and is also a surviving member of the League of the Healing Hand, which was created when the boys were very young and after they had saved Lachlan the Winged.

Rhiannon's first night in Sorrowgate Tower is spent in the Murderer's Gallery where she is stripped naked and told to wear a potato sack ridden with lice. When Rhiannon defies the warden Octavia she is forced to wear thumbscrews as her punishment.

Answer: Nina and Iven

Nina and Iven come to Rhiannon's rescue after Lewen has come to them telling them how Rhiannon is being treated. After Rhiannon saved their son Roden from the evil Laird of Fettercairn they feel indebted to Rhiannon. Therefore they use their own funds to pay for a cell in a better part of the tower and away from the evils of the Murderer's Gallery.

Answer: Felice

Rhiannon comes to realise the true meaning of friendship when Felice visits her regularly. Felice comes to visit more often then even Lewen, and you will shortly come to realise why.

Answer: A mountain bluebird

Lewen and Rhiannon find it hard to be together while Rhiannon is locked up. When the Keybearer Isabeau (also like an aunt to Lewen) grants Rhiannon guarded leave and time out in the garden Lewen is able to join her. While on their first outing Lewen is carving a little mountain bluebird when she arrives. Rhiannon loves it as it reminds of her of home; it is a native of the Dubhglais Mountain Ranges.

Answer: comes to life

Lewen is very talented in the art of Woodcraft, his mum being a tree shifter and his dad a woodsmen. When the little bluebird is brought to life, Lewen and the rest of the coven are surprised to discover that Lewen's talents may be much stronger than first thought! Lewen is frightened by this new talent as he believes it is to alike to 'she who weaves the thread'.

Answer: Owein

Felice falls for Owein the moment she meets him when she is introduced by Lewen. She flirts with Owein and he flirts back. They begin to fall more for each other as they spend more time together - which is hardly a lot of time for the Prionnsachan Owein, who has his court duties as his own father's squire.

Answer: leaves her for Olwynne

In the greatest act of betrayal Lewen succumbs to Olwynne's spell of temptation and undying love! This is the saddest plot of the story because Lewen is so torn, yet Olwynne has such an upper hand in all this and manipulates Lewen to believe that Rhiannon's love over him was sorcery! Lewen goes to Rhiannon and tells her that he no longer loves her, and she is left heartbroken, devastated and most of all alone! :(

Answer: Felice

Landon cannot bring himself to get up and read it out in front of the crowd! Felice believes it's too good not to be heard by all within the Nisse and Nixie. Felice therefore reads the poem for Landon and delivers it with such emotion that it moves the whole of the faery kind who hear the reading which in turn stirs all within Lucescere. All of the faery kind are so moved by this honesty and back Rhiannon with all of their support.

Answer: The Court of Star Chamber, Midsummer

Rhiannon's Trial is undertaken here in the Court of Star Chamber, where methods are used that have not been used in a very long time! All of faery kind and Eileanans who are in Lucescere are present at the trial to see what the verdict will be! Lewen gives evidence on behalf of Rhiannon, but cannot bear to look her in the eye, which breaks Rhiannon's confidence even further! Yet another painfully sad scene.
