Answer: Romeo

Romeo, a name very much associated with Shakespeare, is one of the two central characters.
2. This character is hot-blooded and quick to anger.

Answer: Tybalt

Tybalt is Lord Capulet's nephew, and Juliet's cousin. He kills Mercutio and is then slain by Romeo.
3. Juliet's primary caregiver, she is a coarse yet warm and caring woman.

Answer: The Nurse

The nurse says some pretty vulgar things, but her love for Juliet is constant throughout the play.

Answer: Mercutio

Mercutio is my own favourite character of the play; he delivers the famous Queen Mab speech. He is killed by Tybalt at the climax of the play.

Escalus is a strict but fair ruler. He banishes Romeo to Mantua instead of killing him when Romeo kills Tybalt.

Answer: Friar Laurence

Friar Laurence, a good and wise man, marries Juliet and Romeo in a secret ceremony. He later gives Juliet a potion that makes her appear dead, for the purposes of preventing her marriage to Paris.

Answer: Count Paris

Paris is mourning Juliet (who isn't really dead) at her tomb when Romeo comes to commit suicide. Paris tries to apprehend him and dies.
