Star Wars: Millennium Falcon: The Novel Quiz

A "Millennium Falcon" novel quiz seemed kind of obvious at this point, what with my previous "Star Wars" novel quizzes. The novel's author was veteran "Star Wars" writer James Luceno.

Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. What was the date when the "Millennium Falcon" came off the assembly line?

Answer: 60 BBY

In 60 BBY, in the Orbital Assembly Facility 7 of the Corellian Engineering Corporation, the YT-1300 freighter that would one day be known as the "Millennium Falcon" came off the assembly line; literally. It seemed to go loose on the assembly line from which it was created, nearly causing a disaster for its engineers. From this point, it seemed to attract trouble wherever it went for the 100+ years worth of adventures it would find.
2. What was the name of the "Millennium Falcon" when it was under the hands of Captain Tobb Jadak?

Answer: Stellar Envoy

One of the "Millennium Falcon"'s previous names was the "Stellar Envoy" around the time of 19 BBY, while Captain Jadak and his copilot, Reeze Duurmun, flew her across the galaxy. Around this time, Jadak and Duurmun had been working with a conspiracy group that wanted to overthrow Old Republic Supreme Chancellor Palpatine for his leadership during the Clone Wars.

Incidentally, the "Falcon", as the "Stellar Envoy", can be seen during the landing of the "Invisible Hand" during "Episode III: Revenge of the Sith".
3. Who was the technician who scavenged the "Millennium Falcon" following Captain Jadak's ownership of the ship?

Answer: Bammy Decree

Bammy Decree was the technician who scavenged the "Millennium Falcon" (or "Stellar Envoy", as it was then called) from the orbit of Nar Shaddaa after the "Falcon" crashed into a Hutt ship. With Jadak and Duurmun presumed dead following the incident, Decree would give it to the crime boss, Rej Taunt. Taunt would use it to try to make a deal with the insectoid race known as the Colicoids.
4. Who did Han Solo win the "Millennium Falcon" from?

Answer: Lando Calrissian

This would be something that anyone familiar at least with the "Star Wars" movies would know about. For those not in the know though, in "The Empire Strikes Back", when Lando was introduced, it had been established in dialogue between Han and Lando that Han won the "Millennium Falcon" from Lando in a bet.

This back story was further looked at in the "Han Solo" novels, which was one of the "Star Wars" Expanded Universe precursors to Timothy Zahn's aptly-named "Thrawn Trilogy" in the early 1990s.
5. What was the name of the Republic Group agent that Tobb Jadak and Reeze Duurmun had to meet on Tandun III?

Answer: Folee

Before Jadak and Duurmun had their accident at Nar Shaddaa, one of the Republic Group's agents, Jedi Master J'oopi She, had installed something aboard the "Stellar Envoy" that neither Jadak and Duurmun knew about, nor were they aware of the object's placement aboard the ship. That object would be found more than 60 years later by Allana Solo when she herself explored the "Millennium Falcon", something that her famous grandfather, Han, had never discovered throughout all of his years searching the ship.

This was the reason that the Solos began their mission to backtrack the "Falcon"'s origins.
6. Who had inadvertently become Tobb Jadak's accomplice in his sojourn to find out the fate of the "Stellar Envoy"?

Answer: Flitcher Poste

After Tobb Jadak woke up in his nearly 60 year coma, having barely aged whilst Reeze Duurmun died in the "Stellar Envoy" accident at Nar Shaddaa, he decides to look for his ship. He does this by tracking the ship's history forward in time by finding what records he can throughout the galaxy. On one of the planets he researches for the "Stellar Envoy", a ne'er-do-well named Flitcher Poste becomes his accomplice after the two get into some trouble with the planet's local authorities.
7. Which two Yuuzhan Vong characters were mentioned in this novel?

Answer: Onimi and Tsavong Lah

Onimi and Tsavong Lah were both mentioned within the very same paragraph of this novel during Han Solo's inner monologue whilst his visit at a dog show with his family on the planet Taris. The context with which Onimi and Tsavong Lah were mentioned was that Han was reflecting on how his late older son, Jacen, had fallen to the dark side of the Force over the course of "Legacy of the Force".

Other characters who were mentioned in this monologue were Vergere and Hethirir.
8. On which world did Tobb Jadak wake up from his coma?

Answer: Obroa-skai

Specifically, Jadak had woken up in the Aurora Medical Facility of Obroa-skai. During the later years of his coma, Jadak was overseen by the Ho'Din neurologist Lial Sompa and Twi'lek psychotherapist Ril Bezant. Throughout all of these years, the constant stability of Jadak's life had been funded by a wealthy and influential man with a hidden agenda...
9. What was the name of the individual who both the Solos and Tobb Jadak, along with his partner, would meet?

Answer: Quip Fargil

Quip Fargil was basically the intersection between the Solos' and Tobb Jadak's journeys to discover the "Millennium Falcon"'s history. From this, the Solos and Jadak and his partner would track the object that Allana found, which was a transponder, back to the planet of Tandun III. And that was where the journey ended.
10. Where would the "Millennium Falcon"'s next destination be following its hasty departure from Tandun III?

Answer: Coruscant

By the end of the book, following the Solos' adventure with Tobb Jadak and his partner on Tandun III, Jedi Grand Master Luke Skywalker called them back to Coruscant because Galactic Alliance Chief of State Natasi Daala had called for his arrest. This was due to Daala blaming Luke for the late Jacen Solo's fall to the dark side of the Force and, mainly, Jacen's subsequent takeover of the Galactic Alliance. And so the "Falcon" would fly off to the galactic capital to set up the next series of"Star Wars" novels, "Fate of the Jedi".
