Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. What are some of the ways in which Corrine Foxworth is related to Cathy?

Answer: Corrine is Cathy's mother and half-aunt

although we originally find out in 'Flowers in the Attic' that Corrine is Cathy's mother and half-cousin, in 'Garden of Shadows it is revealed that Cathy's father is Corrine's half-brother, and therefore Corrine is both Cathy's mother and half-aunt! (this incestuous thing can get VERY confusing!)
2. What piece of jewellery always adorns Olivia Foxworth's gray taffeta dresses?

Answer: a diamond broach

she even pins it to her hospital gown in 'petals on the wind'! It was Corrine Foxworth who wore the pearl necklace with the butterfly clasp
3. What was the nickname given to the four Dollanganger children by their neighbourhood in Gladstone, PA?

Answer: the Dresden dolls

because they all had blonde hair and blue eyes, the children's neighbours nick-named them the 'dresden Dolls'! Their father used to refer to them as 'buttercups'
4. What is the colour that Carrie despises as it represents to her all she couldn't have while locked away?

Answer: yellow

Unfortunately for her, when Carrie went to boarding school in 'petals on the wind', her roomate had a yellow-fetish!
5. Where does Bart Winslow's sister live?

Answer: Vermont

Although Bart is orignally from Greenglenna, his sister (whom Corrine and Bart visit on their honeymoon) lives in Vermont!

Interestingly, the same middle name as one of V.C Andrews's other characters, Heaven!

Answer: Sheffield

Chris wanted to adopt the name of their benefactor, Paul Sheffield
8. What was the name of Cathy's childhood ballet teacher, before she went to live in the attic?

In Greenglenna her teacher was called Madame Marisha, and in New York she trained under Madame Zolta!
9. What was the name of the man Carrie fell in love with in 'Petals on the Wind'?

Answer: Alex

10. What day of the week was it when the children first arrived at Dr Paul's house in 'Petals on the Wind'?
