Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Which character said "Narg no hurt"?

Answer: Narg

This was near the very beginning when Rand is in his home, about to leave, and encounters a big, hairy, mean, nasty, and ugly Trolloc. And it can talk.
2. "Women denounce their neighbors for Darkfriends. Men scrawl the Dragon's Fang on the doors of people they have known for years. I will not become part of it." These were very heartfelt words spoken mostly to herself. But who was she?

Answer: Morgase

Morgase is speaking of this after hearing Elaida's foretelling, and Gareth Bryne's suggestion to throw him in jail, or have him summoned to the headsman.
3. Which character throws a fit about playing with the One Power, and says this? "Are you crazy? I mean...the One Power! You can't just play around with something like that!"

Answer: Perrin

After Shadar Logoth and everyone splitting into groups, Perrin and Egwene have met across the river and are trying to make a fire, and Egwene says she can make one with the Power. Perrin, naturally, freaks out.
4. This is said by someone who clearly has no love for Aes Sedai. Whom? "Just keep clear of the Aes Sedai, for your lives."

Answer: Thom

After they get off of the boat at Whitebridge, Thom shows his ingrained distrust of Aes Sedai.
5. Begging seems to be out of character for this person...who spoke these words? "I would ask you not to tell anyone about this. Please?"

Answer: Nynaeve

Nynaeve finally admits to herself that she can channel, and pleads Moiraine not to tell anyone.
6. And who said this? "Some thought has come to you, Perrin of the Two Rivers, and I would know what it is."

Answer: Byar

Byar says this after Perrin receives the wolf-message that they are coming to help him. This is at the point where Byar offers Perrin and Egwene a sharp rock to cut their bonds on.
7. "Pain and division come to the whole world, and this man stands at the heart of it." Not a very nice thing to say about someone. Who says it?

Answer: Elaida

This is a piece of Elaida's Foretelling about Rand.
8. "Kneel! Kneel, and acknowledge me your master! In the end, you will. You will be my creature, or you will die." Who spoke these ominous words?

Answer: Ba'alzamon

Yet another one of those amazingly repetitive scenes where all Rand does is yammer pointlessly about denial.
9. "The rose petal floats on water. The kingfisher flashes above the pond. Life and beauty swirl in the midst of death." In the context, it doesn't make much sense, but it is poetic. Who said it?

Answer: Lan

Lan was speaking to Lord Agelmar here, a short while after. Apparently everybody thinks Old Stoneface is a cold-blooded killer that doesn't think about anything except death.
10. Who spoke these kind words? "It is not right. It is not right that Treebrother should fall to the Blight. Not right."

Answer: Loial

After the death of Someshta (the Green Man), Aginor, and Balthamel, Loial speaks these words, and then sings to a nearby tree to protect a small space from the Blight.
