1. Who was the original owner of the Bronze Armor for which Waylander was searching?

Answer: King Orien

Orien takes off his armor at the start of the book, and leaves it in a cave. However, only the 'chosen one' can retrieve it. Karnak is the General in charge of the besieged city of Purdol.
2. Who commissioned Waylander to kill King Niallad?

Answer: Kaem

Kaem the Cruel. He was a General in the Vagrian army. However, he had no intention of paying Waylander. When Waylander tracks him to his home, Kaem's only son attacks Waylander, who kills him. This causes Kaem to put a contract on Waylander. Niallad was the son of Orien. Danyal becomes Waylander's love interest.
3. Who was the priest rescued by Waylander?

Answer: Dardalion

Waylander saves Dardalion on more than one occasion. At one point, Waylander causes his blood to enter Dardalion's mouth, creating the eventual downfall of the Vagrian attack.
4. How did Culas die?

Answer: Waylander killed him

Culas was one of the four survivors of an attack by the Vagrians on a wagon train. He was gut shot by an outlaw's arrow. Waylander used his dagger to cut Culas' femoral artery, saving the boy from days of agonizing pain, and a slow death.
5. Who was the 'Stalker' hunting Waylander?

Answer: Cadoras

Waylander managed to capture Cadoras, but let him live. Cadoras in turn saves Waylander from the Nadir, but is fatally wounded in the process. Sarvaj and Jonat were soldiers at the siege of Purdol.

Answer: Durmast

Butaso was the Nadir leader who Waylander believed had killed Danyal.
