Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. When Tweedledee and Tweedledum are introducing themselves to Alice, they suggest some things that they could do. Which of the following is not one of the suggestions?

Answer: Freeze tag

After Tweedledee and Tweedledum sing "How Do You Do and Shake Hands", Tweedledum asks Alice if she likes to play hide-and-seek. After this, Tweedledee suggests button-button, who's got the button. Alice declines, then Tweedledee says that if she stays around, the he will have a battle with Tweedledum.

However, they don't do any of these. Instead, they tell her the story of "The Walrus and the Carpenter".
2. What type of sea creature does not participate in the Caucus Race?

Answer: Eel

In the Caucus Race scene, the Dodo Bird is on top of a boulder with a tiny fire to dry him off, and other sea creatures are running around the boulder to try to get dry. However, waves keep crashing on them and they get wet again. The water never touches the Dodo Bird, so he is the only one to actually get dry.

Although they are very minor characters, you can see a pelican, starfish, and lobster running around the boulder. However, you never see an eel.
3. Where does the Dodo Bird get the match that almost burns down the White Rabbit's house?

Answer: White Rabbit

Alice goes into the White Rabbit's house to get his gloves. While in his house, she eats a cookie that makes her grow to an enormous size, and the White Rabbit thinks that she is a monster. After Bill the lizard fails to pull Alice out through the chimney, the Dodo Bird decides to burn the house down, against the White Rabbit's wishes.

He gathers some material to start the fire, such as a birdhouse, the wooden gate, and straw from the roof. Then, he asks the White Rabbit for a match and ignites the material.

However the house never burns down. Alice eats a carrot from the White Rabbit's garden and shrinks down small enough to crawl out under the front door.
4. Which flower 'sounds their A' to start of "Golden Afternoon"?

Answer: Lily

The flowers all debate over which song to sing for Alice, and the Red Rose decides that they should sing "Golden Afternoon", a song about all the flowers. To open the song, she says "Sound your 'A', Lily." Interestingly, the note that Lily actually sings is a B-flat.
5. What is the first thing the Mad Hatter does to the White Rabbit's watch?

Answer: Dunks it in tea

At the tea party, the March Hare wants to know the time. The White Rabbit then appears with his pocket watch, exclaiming that he is late. The Mad Hatter yanks the watch from him, saying "Why, no wonder you're late! This watch is exactly two days slow!" He then dunks it in tea, opens the back of the watch, pours salt in it, uses a fork to take out the wheels and springs, spreads butter on it, and pours tea into the watch.

He then puts two spoons into the watch, followed by jam, but when the March Hare suggests that he put mustard into it, he proclaims that it would be silly, and squeezes lemon juice into it instead.
6. Sterling Holloway played the Frog in the 1933 version of "Alice in Wonderland". He also voiced which character in this 1951 Disney version?

Answer: Cheshire Cat

Sterling Holloway is no stranger to voicing Disney Animated Features; besides "Alice in Wonderland", he also did the voice of Roquefort in "The AristoCats", Kaa in "The Jungle Book", Mr. Stork in "Dumbo", and Winnie the Pooh in "The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh".
7. When the Caterpillar tells Alice to keep her temper, what color are the rings he blows from his hookah?

Answer: Blue, white, and orange

As Alice storms away from the Caterpillar, he shouts for her to come back. She makes her way back to him, and he says "Keep your temper," as he blows a blue smoke ring, then white, then blue again, then white again, then an orange one.
8. Who hits the Queen of Hearts with the mallet?

Answer: King of Hearts

The Dormouse hears the word 'cat' at the trial, and as we saw earlier in the movie, this causes him to frantically run around and scream. He does this at the trial, and in an attempt to hit the Dormouse, the King of Hearts accidentally hits the Queen of Hearts with the mallet.

However, a tablecloth is over her head, and before the Queen of Hearts takes off the tablecloth, the mallet gets passed down to Alice, leading the Queen to believe that Alice is the culprit.
9. When Alice grows to a large size in the court room, the Queen of Hearts becomes scared of her. Alice then says that the queen is nothing but a "fat, pompous, bad tempered, old tyrant". After this, what happens that gives the Queen of Hearts her confidence back?

Answer: Alice shrinks back to her normal height.

At the trial, Alice eats both pieces of the mushroom, causing her to grow very large. In fact, the King and Queen of Hearts believe that she is over a mile high, breaking Rule 42, and they ask her to leave. She insists that she is not over a mile high and that she is not leaving.

As Alice calls the queen of fat, pompous, bad tempered, old tyrant, she is shrinking, and the queen then asks her what she was saying. The Cheshire Cat repeats what Alice said, and the Queen orders that Alice's head be removed.
10. In the Tulgey Wood, there is a creature that is a bird that has a birdcage as a body. There are two birds in it's body-cage. What colors are they?

Answer: Blue and purple

Alice gets lost and ends up in the Tulgey Wood, where there are a number of odd creatures, including this bird with a cage body. The two birds in it's cage, one blue and one purple, fly out of the cage when the door opens. The bird with the cage body then eats the two birds that escaped, putting them back in the cage.
