Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. What is the name of Alice's cat?

Answer: Dinah

Dinah is a ginger coloured cat with a pink ribbon tied round her neck. Her name is mentioned first at the start of the film when Alice is talking about what her world would be like, instead of listening to her history lesson. Cheshire is the cat in Wonderland, and Bourbon and Muffin are names of my cats.
2. What colour dress and apron did Alice wear?

Answer: Blue dress/white apron

The dress is about knee height with a blue collar and has short sleeves. The apron is on top of the dress and tied around the back by a white ribbon. She wore this dress for the whole of the film.
3. What is the name of the lizard roped in to get Alice out of the White Rabbit's house?

Answer: Bill

Bill's name is first mentioned when the White Rabbit calls out to him, as Bill is passing by the house. He is tall, green and wearing a long green top and a dark green jacket with matching shorts. Bill tries to go down the chimney to get Alice out but ends up creating a lot of smoke, which makes Alice sneeze. Bill flies out the chimney, and we do not see him again.
4. What is the name of the song that the flowers (and Alice at the end of the song) sing?

Answer: Golden Afternoon

"Golden Afternoon" is also known as "All In The Golden Afternoon". The leader of the flowers (called The Rose) quietes the others down as they argue over which song to sing. She then proceeds to say that they will be singing "Golden Afternoon", as it was a song about all the flowers. "Alice in Wonderland" was the title song played at the start of the film, "The Caucus Race" was sung by the Dodo when Alice was forced into running around the rock to 'get dry', and "How Do You Do and Shake Hands" was sung by Tweedledum and Tweedledee.
5. What beloved item did the March Hare destroy?

Answer: Pocket watch

The pocket watch belonged to the White Rabbit. He received it as an un-birthday present. The March Hare believed it needed fixing because it was slow which is why the White Rabbit kept saying that he "was late for a very important date", whereas in reality, the pocket watch was running fine, and it was just the White Rabbit who was running late.
6. What colour were the roses being painted?

Answer: Red

The roses were being painted red by three of the Queen's cards, the Ace, Two and Three of Clubs. They had accidentally planted white roses instead of red, and had to quickly run round and paint them all red before the Queen of Hearts found out, otherwise she would have cut off their heads.
7. Flamingoes and hedgehogs were used in the game of croquet.

Answer: True

The flamingoes were being used as the croquet mallets, and the hedgehogs were being used as the croquet ball. It was a bizarre game of croquet. Everybody tried their best to make sure the queen won the game, for if she lost, she could have ordered for their heads to be cut off.
8. Who pulled the trick on the queen, causing her to show her underwear to everybody?

Answer: The Cheshire Cat

This was during the croquet game. The Cheshire Cat put the flamingos beak under her dress so she pulled it up when she went to strike the hedgehog and showed her underwear to everybody. The queen believed Alice did it, and ordered her head to be cut off.
9. Who told Alice that she was only dreaming?

Answer: The Doorknob

Near the end of the film, Alice was running from all the Wonderland characters. She tried to open the door, but the doorknob told her she was dreaming.
10. Who voiced Alice?

Answer: Kathryn Beaumont

Kathryn Beaumont was also the voice of Wendy Darling from the Disney 1953 film 'Peter Pan'. Verna Felton voiced the Queen of Hearts, Heather Angel voiced Alice's sister and Doris Lloyd voiced the Rose.
