Answer: Gone in 60 Seconds

"Gone in 60 Seconds" is a remake of the 1974 film of the same name. When Kip (Giovanni Ribisi) is hired to steal 50 high-end cars, but isn't able to produce the cars, the gangster who hired him threatens to kill him. That's when Memphis (Nicolas Cage), a retired car thief and Kip's older brother, is contacted to try to help rescue Kip. Memphis is unsure in the beginning because he promised his mother he would never steal cars again, in the hopes Kip wouldn't follow in his footsteps. With her blessing, he tries to rescue Kip. The gangster, Raymond Calitri (Christopher Eccleston), still needs the cars. When Memphis shows up, Calitri offers the job to Memphis instead (knowing that Memphis was the best car thief out there). If he doesn't steal the cars within a 3-day timeframe, Calitri will kill Kip.

Memphis tries to get his old crew back together, including Otto (Robert Duvall), who will organize the movement of the stolen cars and Sway (Angelina Jolie), a Ferrari expert and Memphis's ex-girlfriend. Otto realizes that since they only have 3 days to steal all 50 cars, they will have to steal them all in one night: "We're gonna have to go old school on this. One day to shop, one day to prep." The third day would be when they would steal the cars. When they steal car #37 - a 1971 Plymouth Hemi Barracuda (*drool*), Sway and Memphis have this exchange.

All of the incorrect answers were movies that were also released in 2000.
2. 2001 - Name the movie this quote comes from. Charlie: "Twenty-three nineteen! We have a twenty-three nineteen!"

Answer: Monsters, Inc.

"Monsters, Inc." is a Pixar animated film that tells the story of James P. "Sully" Sullivan (voice of John Goodman) and Mike Wazowski (voice of Billy Crystal), monsters that live in Monstropolis. They work for the energy company, Monsters, Inc. The city is powered on the screams of children that the monsters are sent to scare in their bedrooms. It is believed that children are toxic to monsters, so anytime anything that belongs to children is brought back through the magic door that allows the monsters into the kids' room, the code is a 2319. This means that whoever the code is called on needs to be disinfected immediately. One of the times, it's a kid's sock that stuck to one of the monsters. When Mike and Sully enter the bedroom of a little girl ("Boo"), she comes back through the door with them. The controller panics and calls a 2319. They call many code 2319's throughout the film. It's hilarious every time.

All of the incorrect answers were movies that were also released in 2001.
3. 2002 - Name the movie this quote comes from. Frank: "Dr. Harris, do you concur?" Dr. Harris: "Yes?" Frank: "Do you concur?" Dr. Harris: [confused] "Concur with what, sir?"

Answer: Catch Me If You Can

"Catch Me If You Can" is the *mostly* true story of Frank Abagnale, Jr. (Leonardo DiCaprio), a forger, imposter, and con artist who evaded capture by FBI agent Carl Hanratty (Tom Hanks) for many years. By the time he was 21, Frank had successfully posed as a doctor, pilot, and lawyer. He was also so good at forging payroll and personal checks that he was hired by the FBI as a consultant, helping to identify possible forgeries by others.

While preparing to pose as a doctor, Frank studied many TV shows to learn the terminology that they use. The one thing that doctors (at least on TV) seemed to ask each other is if they concur (obviously with something that someone else has suggested). When Frank asks Dr. Harris if he concurs (when nothing was actually suggested by anyone), this exchange happens.

All of the incorrect answers were movies that were also released in 2002.
4. 2003 - Name the movie this quote comes from. Will: "A man tells his stories so many times that he becomes the stories. They live on after him, and in that way he becomes immortal."

Answer: Big Fish

"Big Fish" is the fantastical film by director Tim Burton that tells dual stories. The first is of the senior Edward Bloom (Albert Finney), who is dying, and his son Will (Billy Crudup), who is trying to make sense of his father's stories and separate fact from fiction and the man from the myth. Will believes that the vast majority of stories that his dad told in his life didn't actually happen.

The second story is young Edward Bloom (Ewan McGregor) and all of his adventures as they "actually" happened. The interesting thing is that most of the things that Edward told stories about later in life actually did happen. He simply embellished them to make them more interesting. The embellishments become the fantastical elements in the film, and in typical Tim Burton fashion, there are plenty of visual distortions as well.

This quote comes in the epilogue of the film when Will finally understands that his father was simply trying to entertain people and he became part of the story. It's a beautiful tribute to an interesting life.

All of the incorrect answers were movies that were also released in 2003.
5. 2004 - Name the movie this quote comes from. Honey: "*I'm* the greatest *good* you are ever gonna get!"

Answer: The Incredibles

Pixar's "The Incredibles" is a film about superheroes who are forced into hiding by the government and the outrage of the people. When a new threat emerges in the form of a giant, AI-powered killer robot, they have to weight the consequences of coming out of hiding to protect the city. What they don't know is that the robot is being controlled by the wannabe superhero "Syndrome" (voiced by Jason Lee). Frozone (Samuel L. Jackson) is looking for his super suit and he asks his wife, Honey, where it is, because he's talking about "the greater good." She replies with this quote.

The film also features the vocal talents of Craig T. Nelson (Mr. Incredible) and Holly Hunter (Elastigirl, Mr. Incredible's wife). The animation is typical of the stunning visuals we're used to from Pixar. It won the Oscar for Best Animated Feature Film.

All of the incorrect answers were movies that were also released in 2004.
6. 2005 - Name the movie this quote comes from. Rachel: "It's not who you are underneath, but what you do that defines you."

Answer: Batman Begins

"Batman Begins" is the first Christopher Nolan-directed "Dark Knight" series "Batman" film. It shows the origins of Batman and how he ends up on the superhero path. Christian Bale stars as Bruce Wayne/Batman, the antihero who feels he has to do *something* about the crime in Gotham City.

There is a huge cast of talent in this film, including Michael Caine (Alfred, Bruce's butler), Liam Neeson (Ducard), Katie Holmes (Rachel), Gary Oldman (Jim Gordon, future police commissioner), Cillian Murphy (Scarecrow), Ken Watanabe (Ra's Al Ghul), and Morgan Freeman (weapons designer Lucius Fox).

In this scene, Bruce Wayne makes a fool of himself in public with a couple of women, swimming in a decorative pool. As they are all soaking wet and walking to his car, he runs into Rachel Dawes. She expresses disappointment in him. Bruce counters that he is good inside. This line is her response. It's all about what he is doing rather than who he is "underneath."

All of the incorrect answers were movies that were also released in 2005.
7. 2006 - Name the movie this quote comes from. Car: "Speed. I am speed."

Answer: Cars

Another Pixar film, all the characters in the film "Cars" are actually cars, anthropomorphized, giving them their unique personalities and lives of their own. When a rookie race car, Lightning McQueen (voice of Owen Wilson), gets separated from his hauler, he ends up in the small town of Radiator Springs, just off Route 66. He meets other cars who don't believe his story that he's actually a race car. Some of the cars he meets: tow truck Mater (voice of Larry the Cable Guy); attorney and motel owner - and Porsche - Sally Carrera (Bonnie Hunt); the town doctor, Doc Hudson - former NASCAR race car, a Hudson Hornet - (Paul Newman); low rider Ramone (Cheech Marin); and other cars featuring the vocal talents of Tony Shaloub, George Carlin, Michael Keaton, John Ratzenberger, and Richard Petty.

While Lightning is stuck in the town - he's sentenced to repair the main road in town that he destroyed - he learns that there is more to life than just the Piston Cup and racing.

This quote is what Lightning says to himself when he's trying to drive really fast.

All of the incorrect answers were movies that were also released in 2006.
8. 2007 - Name the movie this quote comes from. Store Clerk: "That ain't no Etch-A-Sketch. This is one doodle that can't be un-did, Homeskillet."

Answer: Juno

"Juno" is an offbeat comedy about Juno MacGuff (Ellen Page), a high school student who gets pregnant after having sex with her boyfriend Paulie Bleeker (Michael Cera). According to Juno, she wanted to have sex because she was "bored." Most of the film shows what Juno goes through in her pregnancy. The movie also stars JK Simmons and Allison Janney as Juno's dad and stepmother, and Jason Bateman and Jennifer Garner as the prospective adoptive parents of Juno's baby.

In this scene, Juno goes to the store to get an at-home pregnancy test. She does the test in the store restroom. When she returns with the test in her hands, she realizes she's actually pregnant, and she starts shaking the tester like she's shaking a thermometer. The clerk (Rainn Wilson), realizing what's happening, says this line.

All of the incorrect answers were movies that were also released in 2007.
9. 2008 - Name the movie this quote comes from. Man: "They say that the best weapon is the one you never have to fire. I respectfully disagree. I prefer the weapon you only have to fire once."

Answer: Iron Man

I didn't give you the character's name because that would have made it too easy - even though it's already an easy quote anyway. While "Iron Man" wasn't the first Marvel movie, it was the first release in the "Avengers" series. Tony Stark (Robert Downey, Jr.), a second-generation weapons manufacturer, is captured in Afghanistan by insurgents who want him to build the weapon that he had just demonstrated. While being held captive in a cave, he builds a rudimentary flying/weapon suit so he can escape. Once he escapes and is rescued, he begins building the suit that we know. Thus begins his superhero journey.

In this scene, Tony is demonstrating a new weapons system - The Jericho - for the Army.

All of the incorrect answers were movies that were also released in 2008.
10. 2009 - Name the movie this quote comes from. Nerine: "Thinking about tomorrow?" Francois: "No. Tomorrow's taken care of, one way or another. I was thinking about how you spend 30 years in a tiny cell, and come out ready to forgive the people who put you there."

Answer: Invictus

"Invictus" is director Clint Eastwood's film of the true story of how Nelson Mandela (Morgan Freeman), newly-elected President of South Africa, used the national rugby team to inspire and unite the nation after Apartheid. Mandela tasks team captain Francois Pienaar (Matt Damon) with preparing the team to make a good showing at the 1995 Rugby World Cup. Mandela knows that if the national team is doing well, it will give people on opposing sides of the South African political spectrum a commonality.

In this scene, Francois is thinking about Mandela and how he spent 30 years in prison.

All of the incorrect answers were movies that were also released in 2009.
